What certifications are required to get into the 1st dental job?
Level 2 License through NDAEB certification for Canadian provinces except Ontario which requires NDAEB & HARP certificates to become a Level 2 Licensed Dental Assistant.

How to take an NDAEB Certification?
Four stages Equivalency (EQV) > Clinical Practical Evaluation (CPE) > Written Exam (WE) > NDAEB Certificate

How long does the NDAEB licensing take?
If planned well, 6 – 8 months.

When can I start applying for jobs?
As soon as you finish your CPE exam. At this stage, your chances of getting hired goes from 10% to 60% as you are pursuing your Level 2 License. But after becoming Level 2 licensed (and HARP Certified if in Ontario), your job opportunity is at 100%
